Green Solution for Slope Protection
Problem
A development of new Istana Negara (National Palace) at Jalan Duta involved slope stabilization and strengthening works where the area exists at the location of complex geological interface of Granite, KL Limestone and Kenny Hill formation that possess serious stability issue towards the exposed or engineered slope.
Solution
Steel grid SGMO with MacMat and hydroseeding was proposed to enhance the slope stability and erosion control measure while providing “green” solution development. This carbon sequestration structure is aligned to the ‘green development’ concept of the project. An estimated 2500m2 of SGHR30 with MacMat was installed with the soil nail to strengthen this 25m height of slope.
