Noise Barriers

Image

Acoustic barriers are used to minimize noise pollution between two places. Regulations to minimise the environmental impact of the noise and visual pollution created by infrastructure and industrial works in residential areas has generated a growing demand for acoustic barriers and visual screening. Such barriers are required to have;

• Minimal impact on the urban landscape

• Small “footprint” (even for high structures)

Maccaferri solutions combine both these attributes, with ease of construction and cost-effectiveness.

Many acoustic bunds feature our soil reinforcement technology using our geogrids and gabions. Combining solutions enables us to successfully accommodate client demands of aesthetics, space and value. Our unique ParaDrain geogrids often enable the reuse of poor-quality fills as structural backfill particularly within acoustic bunds; further reducing environmental impact and carbon footprint.
